Physical fitness involves various elements like strength, endurance, and flexibility. Many individuals will typically gravitate towards one desired physical characteristic while working towards their fitness goals. Strength, endurance, and body composition are usually emphasized during a workout session with little time spent on flexibility training. Stretching for improved flexibility and ease of movement is an essential part of any physical fitness training program.

In the Art of Stretching session, we will explore what stretching is, the guidelines to stretch safely, and the physical and mental benefits of stretching. Creative thinking, imagination and reflection are the only prerequisites required for this course. This class offering will help each participant craft a personalized stretching routine to integrate into their daily self-care plan.
