Swami Sivananda gave the world a practice that supports whole health. Sivananda yoga was brought to the west by his disciple Vishnudevananda in 1957.
This practice is founded on five principles for optimal health: proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet and positive thinking and meditation.
Classes will include breathing practices, warmup, the classical 12 asana sequence, and rest (savasana).
The goal of this practice is to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The practice is the same each week, you will be encouraged to work slowly and methodically to advance thru the prescribed poses during our 4 weeks together.

Healing Light Yoga Therapy (HLYT) is a slow, mindful practice that encourages a body-mind-spirit connection while offering the chakras centers an opportunity to clear, cleanse, and heal.
Practicing HLYT stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system creating a relaxation response. A calm and supported nervous system offers deep, whole-body (holistic) healing.
